What is Smoothwall Monitor?
Smoothwall Monitor is an intelligent, real-time digital monitoring solution engineered to protect pupils from digital risks. Unlike traditional web filtering which simply blocks restricted websites, Monitor proactively scans student activity across all digital spaces—including keystrokes, screen views, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, social media, web chats, and even offline documents.
Key Benefits for Your School:
- Proactive Safeguarding: Detects invisible risks such as cyberbullying, self-harm, mental health vulnerabilities, radicalisation, and grooming before they escalate.
- Human Moderation (24/7/365): Highly trained, UK-based human moderators review medium and high-risk alerts to eliminate false positives, ensuring your DSLs are only notified when genuine action is required.
- Real-Time Alerts: High-risk notifications are delivered via phone call within minutes, giving your safeguarding team the context-rich evidence they need for rapid, informed intervention.
- KCSIE Compliance: Fully aligns with the latest Department for Education Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) standards for “appropriate monitoring”.
