This session introduces Year 2 pupils to the intersection of technology and rhythm! Using the interactive Chrome Music Lab, students will explore the science of sound and the basics of composition. Pupils will experiment with the “Song Maker” tool to build melodic patterns, discovering how to adjust tempo and pitch through a colorful, grid-based interface.
This session focuses on the “tinker, play, and create” approach to computing. Students will learn how to sequence percussion beats and layer harmonies, gaining an early understanding of how digital tools can be used to capture and organise musical ideas. It’s a high-engagement workshop that reinforces rhythm and pulse while building foundational digital literacy skills in a fun, accessible way.
